“Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling five balls in the air. You name them – work, family, health, friends and spirit – and you're keeping all of these in the air. You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. But the other four balls – family, health, friends and spirit – are made of glass. If you drop one of these, they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged or even shattered. They will never be the same. You must understand that and strive for balance in your life.”
It is with profound grief and sadness that we share the devastating news that Louise O’Dwyer passed away suddenly on May 5, 2019.
Louise was a close friend to many, an amazing mentor and role-model.
Louise was an active author of many veterinary nursing books and chapters, and spoke on veterinary nursing all over the world. Her passion and drive has ignited many veterinary nurses and technicians to elevate their knowledge and understanding, and excel in their fields.
Louise was a larger-than-life personality, and loved everything vintage. She was known for her vintage curls, makeup, and dresses, her wonderful Manchester accent, and her ability to “say it like it is”.
We loved having her speak at CE on the Sea and are broken-hearted that she is no longer with us.
Our condolences to her family and loved ones.
